Yosuke Suzuki, MBA

Yosuke is the founder and CEO of Vasculead Inc., a pharmaceutical startup company. Before founding Vasculead, Yosuke was a head corporate strategist for a DNA sequencing startup company for three years; leading a major fundraising campaign and successfully raising 24 million USD for the company.   Prior to being a corporate strategist, Yosuke had a successful eleven-year career at Canon Inc. and Canon China where he fulfilled diverse roles in electrical engineering, business planning and R&D team management.  Yosuke holds an MBA from University of Michigan, Ross School of Business and an MS in Electrical Engineering from Doshisha University.

Nobuyuki Takakura, M.D., Ph.D.

Nobuyuki is a Professor of RIMD at Osaka University. He received his M.D. at Mie University School of Medicine in and Ph.D. at Kyoto University Graduate School of Medicine in 1997 after working as a vascular physician for 3 years. Before his current career, Nobuyuki worked at Kumamoto University as an assistant professor for 4 years and Kanazawa University as a professor for 5 years. Nobuyuki is now the president of the Japanese Vascular Biology and Medicine Organization (JVBMO) and a leader in this field.

Takuma Nakatsuka, MBA

Takuma had senior management positions both in private and public sectors, which include CFO or CEO of university start-ups in life science, AnGes, GenoMedia (gene therapy), NanoCarrier (DDS/nanotechnology) as well as various industries, Schering AG (pharmaceutical), Hosokawa-Micron (nanotechnology) and Veolia/Nishihara Environment Technology (engineering). BA in law (University of Tokyo), MA in public policy (University of Michigan) , MBA in finance/strategic management (Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania).

Takeshi Akatsu, Ph.D., Patent Attorney

Takashi has experiences of leading IP as director of IP/BD at a DNA sequencing start-up company, and is today supporting multiple high-tech start-ups for their IP developments. Takeshi received his Ph.D. in Precision Machinery Engineering at the University of Tokyo, and has technical backgrounds as a materials science researcher at two Max Planck Institutes in Germany and as an R&D project leader at a semiconductor company in France. Back in Japan, he worked for IP law firms as a patent attorney. He brings his R&D and business based profound knowledge of IP to Vasculead Inc.

Ralf Adams, Ph.D.

Born on June 21, 1966 in Koblenz, Germany. Studies in biochemistry in Bayreuth, doctorate at the Max Planck Institute for Brain Research in Frankfurt/Main (1996), postdoctoral work at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) in Heidelberg. Head of an independent research group (2000) and Senior Group Leader (2005) at the Cancer Research UK London Research Institute (2000), Director at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Biomedicine and Professor for Vascular Biology at the Westphalian Wilhelms-University since 2007.
